Strawberry & Mango Ice Cream – 1SP Stylee!

The amazing and delightful french rapper OneSP recently took off for a long trip to South America. Before leaving, we got together for a farewell ice cream party.

I brought strawberries and 1SP had a couple very ripe Pakistani mangoes. When our powers combine we make some crazy things, and this ice cream party is no exception.

So the basics:

  • a pound (454g) of fresh seasonal Scottish strawberries
  • 2 deliciously ripe Pakistani honey mangoes
  • an egg + an egg yolk
  • a cup (225g) sugar
  • 2 cups (472ml) double cream
  • a little bit of milk
  • some crazy masks and costumes

This is a fairly standard recipe. Chop and purée the strawberries and mangoes. Mix the eggs and sugar, stir in the cream, and then stir in the fruit. Put in a little milk for good measure and transfer to your trusty half-gallon White Mountain freezer.

But now things get interesting. In order to make a truly 1SP-style ice cream, everyone needs to wear a hat or mask and ideally wield a toy weapon.

Be careful that 1SP’s crazy antics don’t tip the ice cream machine or you could end up with salt in the mix. We were lucky this time…

A balanced and delicious ice cream. Don’t worry, you won’t need to save any leftovers.
